The virtual Hello Show 2021 organized by Orange Silicon Valley in October was an example of those rare yet essential experiences in today’s professional world – a powerful combination of ideas, people, planning, and advance work that led to a tangible blend of creativity, focus, and energy during the event from hosts, speakers, and guests alike. The annual summit, held remotely for the second time, was a culmination of activity to set the stage for addressing new developments in the US innovation landscape. It was also a waypoint along our continuing journey to monitor the most critical technology ecosystems, forge relationships with the most important individuals, and form connections that will drive the real-world manifestation of the most worthwhile possibilities.
Cutting edge topics and world class speakers
The event centered around three days of tightly packed content, moving rapidly from one critical topic for executive leadership and decision makers to the next. Over 15 sessions were held, bringing together startup innovators, investors, visionaries, and corporate leaders from the Orange Group and companies and organizations such as Amazon, Microsoft, Wave, Genvid, Gala Games, Epic Games, Cityzenith, Ansys, Moon Economics Institute, Mursion, Global Workplace Analytic, and more.
Session topics included cybersecurity and ransomware attacks; AI; smart cities and ecosystems; the future of the internet; the metaverse; technology investment strategies; orbital space infrastructure; data monetization; the future of work in a post-COVID world; sustainability initiatives and programs; geo-location; and digital identification technologies.
A springboard into a future of new innovations and relationships
The high quality of the event was palpable to participants in the moment, and audience involvement via dynamic questions and quick reactions contributed to the concluding sense of satisfaction. Throughout the sessions, Orange Silicon Valley analysts were not only involved on-screen – they were also available immediately to connect with attendees or schedule future follow up. The strengthening of existing relationships and creation of new alliances between the gathered leaders organizing, presenting, and absorbing the content will set the stage for exciting new opportunities throughout 2022 as we build towards next year’s Hello Show.
One of the most requested and valuable elements of the Hello Show is the collection of session videos now available for watching online. The videos can be accessed here. Over the coming months, our team will be revisiting these topics as we continue to explore the implications of the innovations discussed and facilitate their creation. Look for more online resources (via our website, social media platforms, and YouTube channel) adding critical context and updates around the Hello Show’s ideas.
An eager community focused on building tomorrow
Audience feedback reflected both the value of the event and the possibilities for even more in the future: “Excellent show. Please keep up the great work.” … “Congratulations to the team that prepared such a great event! See you soon!” … “I am looking forward to looking at the replays of the sessions that I could not attend.”
Many of the speakers also had detailed, personal, and positive reactions afterwards and were grateful for the chance to make new connections themselves in such a creative and engaging way. One global leader involved with the metaverse and augmented reality gaming reflected after participating in one of the lively panel discussions, “Thank you guys for having us! Really enjoyed the conversation with you all … and hope there was some interesting things for people listening.” Another speaker, a distinguished twenty-year corporate development leader and investor, raved, “This is the most professional zoom production I’ve ever seen.”
