Orange Silicon Valley Executive Summit
This winter’s Silicon Valley Executive Summit gathered top CEOs, startup founders, and VCs to discuss how Silicon Valley companies are embracing digital transformation and innovation. Speakers included Steve Jurvetson, founder of Future Ventures; Eileen Tanghal Partner at In-Q-Tel; Lu Zhang, founder of Fusion Fund; Yiannai Gamvros, the head of Business Development at QC Ware; and Angela Antony, the founder CEO of Scoutible. Following the presentations by these speakers, there were breakout sessions conducted by OSV analysts. The event covered topics such as content and media, new space, human resources, smart cities, retail and e-commerce, logistics, fintech, advertising and marketing tech, and connected vehicles. Startups relevant to these areas also presented on their companies and visions.
The HR LearnEX event focused on how to improve operations in human resource departments, and aimed to identify the key roles that digital transformation and people sciences are playing in HR operations. The most information-heavy, immersive day of the event was held offsite at The University of California, Berkeley. Professor Gregory LaBlanc, who specializes in economics, data science, and finance, gave an overview of recent trends and research impacting digital corporate transformation and the future of work spaces. Following LaBlanc’s presentation, the event convened a panel of experts in the digital HR realm. The panelists focused chiefly on the consumer-facing side of data science for HR tracking.
